Hi I’m here once again to share some of the maths aptitude questions!!! I hope you understood all previous posts. Try out these problems.

**Find the next terms for the following question.**

1. 2,5,10,17,26,37, ___

2. 5, 13, 37, 109, ___

3. 2, 5, 10, 17, 26, ___

4. 100, 80,55,35,-10,___

5. 1, 8, 9, 64, 25, ___

**Solve the problem**

6. A’s average in his first 50 innings was 50. After the 51st innings, his average was 51. How many runs did he score in his 51st innings. (supposing that he lost his wicket in his 51st innings)

7. The sum of any seven consecutive numbers is divisible by

a)2 b) 7 c) 3 d) 11

8. If time at this moment is 9 P.M., what will be the time 23999999992 hours later?

9. A rectangular plate with length 8 inches, breadth 11 inches and thickness 2 inches is available. What is the length of the circular rod with diameter 10 inches and equal to the volume of the rectangular plate?

10. What is the sum of the first 20 natural odd numbers?

*Answer*

1.50

Explanation:

1^2+1=2,2^2+1=5,3^2+1, etc

2. 325

Explanation:

5*3-2=13,13*3-2=37, etc

3. 37

2+3=5, 5+5=10, 10+7=17, etc(Add the previous number with odd numbers)

4. -50

Explanation:

100-20=80, 80-25=55, 55-30=25, 25-35=-10, -10-**40**=-50

5. 216

Explanation :

1^2, 2^3, 3^2, 4^3, 5^2, 6^3

6. 101

Explanation :

Total score after 50 innings = 50*50 =2500

Total score after 51 innings = 51*51 = 2601

So, runs made in the 51st innings = 2601-2500 = 101

7. (b) 7

8. 1PM

Explanation:

23999999992+8=24 billion, so it’ll be once again 9PM only.

Then Subtract that 8 from 9PM ie) 9PM-8 = 1PM.

9. 2.24 inches

Explanation:

Volume of the circular rod (cylinder) = Volume of the rectangular plate

(22/7)*5*5*h = 8*11*2

h = 2.24

10. 400

Explanation :

The sum of the first n natural odd nos is square(n).

1+3 = 4 = square(2) 1+3+5 = 9 =square(3)

Yeah sure happy to help you There is a one logic that sum of 1st “n” natural odd numbers=square(n). Here n=20, So 1+3+5+7+9+11+13+15+17+19+21+23+25+27+29+31+33+35+37+39=square(20)=400. The 1st 20 natural odd numbers are 1,3,5,7,9,…….,39. So if you sum up that you’ll get 400, which is also equal to 20*20=400. I hope you can understand

The question is given to find the sum if 1st 20 odd numbers. To find this if we find the value of square(20)=(20*20) =400 is enough to get the answer. That is the formula is like this square (n) = Sum of n odd number. Just try to find by changing the value of n as 5 and you get it easy. I hope you can follow me. If cant kindly post your query back

Explanation:

100-20=80, 80-25=55, 55-30=35, 35-35=0, 0-40=-40

the given on the following solution is wrong(55-30=35).

so modify that problem.

the answer is:-

100-20=80, 80-25=55, 55-30=25,25-35=-10,-10-40=-50.

We are making it to 24 billion hours to make it easy for our calculation by adding 8. Then once again we’ll get 9PM only. Since we are adding 8 hours first, We are subtracting that 8 hours from 9PM. Hence the answer is 1PM. Hope you understand. If not leave a comment, which part you can’t understand clearly.

sorry for too late comment..just now saw this site…Questions are tricky and nice…and btw the last question could also be solved with the help of arithmetic progression…ppl could understand it easily.
